RES will begin the school's sixth One School, One Book project with a kick-off assembly on Monday, March 4 at 1:00 PM in the school gym. The title of the latest book will be unveiled to our school families. The project promotes family literacy, as all RES families receive a copy of the book courtesy of the Raymond Lions Club. Over the course of one month, families read together at home each night and students work on school-based projects based on the book. Other activities such as daily trivia questions, special assemblies, reading and math activities to help to promote the joy of good literature and the important qualities of reading together as a family will be scheduled through out the month of March. There will even be prizes! Our community fundraising project will be supported by cupcake sales held during morning recess.
Please check the website for updates as they become available beginning March 4.
The project runs from March 4-April 4 and will conclude with a closing assembly.
