At Raymond Elementary School, we are looking to create an “Optimal Learning Environment” for every student. We are currently developing this framework to guide all of the professional development that we do as a staff.

Our school focus during the 2024-25 school year will be:

  • Relationships & Classroom Management: We will continue our efforts to learn about and implement a responsibility-centered discipline system into the school.
  • Knowledge of Curriculum: We will continue to develop a deep knowledge of the new curricula, including how the curricula progress throughout the grade levels.
  • Quality Evidence of Learning: We are defining each level of achievement (excelling, achieving, developing & beginning) for each essential skill and procedure in ELAL and Math. We are also gathering exemplars. This is to build consistency across grade teams, help students understand the level they are expected to achieve and to better communicate with parents.
  • Impactful Instruction: We are ensuring all teachers have the skills needed to competently implement our literacy guarantees.
